Yago is a Spanish architect and creative artist, fervent advocate of professional theory/practice hybridisation, he combines the practice of Architecture and Design with Art and Teaching, together with the promotion of activities, companies and institutions linked to Creativity, Innovation and Cultural Management and Dissemination.After working at SAS Arquitectos (Pamplona), Castanon Associates (London) and Idom Consulting Engineering (Madrid). He currently runs VAILLO+IRIGARAY ARCHITECTS together with Antonio Vaillo and Juan Luis Irigaray. VAILLO+IRIGARAY ARCHITECTS is an architectural team founded in 1998 by Antonio Vaíllo and Juan Irigaray, with Yago Vaíllo joining as a partner in 2019. The working method in the office is based on the concept of project strategy, which embraces the widest range of possible scales, from a simple bench to the whole city. It proposes a creative process that will develop founding concepts to be equally applied to management, procedures, and design.
