The new headquarters of a technological company dedicated to robotization and automatism in the automotive sector. located in an industrial estate, where the disorderly and casual character of the industrial buildings is resolved with the classic typology of poor-quality building fronts. The project’s response is to turn the program by ninety degrees and show how the building works. The implantation, around a large courtyard, avoids the obvious frontality of the surrounding buildings, and at the same time articulates a complex program, with a manufacturing area and a design and engineering area. Thus, two large prismatic volumes are established, separated by a large void and connected by two large, cantilevered trusses-bridges that unify the first floor, which is dedicated to engineering offices. The construction, industrial and modular, without formal concessions, achieves a singular character through the emphatic volumetry and a play of transparencies between the materials.
