Nestled between the rustic charm of Parisian countryside and
the bustling Pelleport neighborhood, stands a quintessential
1950s house. Its distinct features include moldings that strikingly
contrast against the unadorned red brickwork. Recognizing its
uniqueness, the decision was made not only to preserve it but
also to develop a project that complements its character.
The new development comprises two separate structures.
The first, fronting the street, seamlessly blends into the urban
landscape, while the second, situated towards the courtyard, is
cozily tucked within its surroundings.
Our design philosophy aims to harmoniously integrate into
this vibrant Parisian street, which is characterized by its diverse
architectural styles, without resorting to imitation. We have
chosen a subtle yet sophisticated architectural language,
employing light bricks laid in a Flemish bond, accented with
reliefs and mashrabiya patterns. This approach distinctly sets
our design apart from neighboring buildings, yet maintains a
sense of familiarity. A special emphasis has been placed on the
curved stainless steel roofing, enhancing the structure’s overall
aesthetic.
The inclusion of a spacious porch and an imposing gable
dormer further enriches the building’s design, lending it a
distinctly homely and welcoming feel.
