This project is a transformation of a former café into an office for architects at the corner of a pedestrian street in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. The facades have been completely reopened in favor of large windows in galvanized steel to illuminate the space. The original materials such as the massive stone walls and the metal structure have been recovered to reveal their raw appearance.
The space is divided into two parts, one for the workspace, and another part for conviviality and meetings. A sliding glazed frame makes it possible to enlarge the space and to imagine different uses. Two round tables in green granite, birch plywood furniture and a stainless-steel kitchen make up the interior of the project, while a bronze-tinted mirror visually enlarges and doubles the space.
