This project is deeply rooted in a landscape shaped by the interplay of Mediterranean and Alpine influences: from pastel ochres and terracotta structures to villages nestled in narrow lanes on rocky peaks, alongside a diverse tapestry of local vegetation. Nestled against the slope of an existing golf course, a cluster of guest suites and services crafts a new topography in earthen concrete, presenting a contrast-rich ambiance with distinctive views of both the Luberon Massifs and the Villars quarries. Functioning as a unifying element between earth and sky, the roofs not only shield the façade from the sun but also incorporate water retention with landscape basins. Protective walls guard against the strong west wind, featuring discreet windows. Guided by a bioclimatic, low-tech design ethos, this project seamlessly harmonizes architecture with nature, blurring the boundaries between exterior and interior spaces.
