The project involves the renovation of an old village house located in the center of Claix, on Rue Fantin Latour. Carried out in collaboration with Guy Depollier, the renovation focuses on integrating an autonomous reinforced concrete structure within the existing stone envelope. The original openings of the building are preserved, as they reflect the passage of time and the various transformations of the structure, once a barn, then a house, and later a wine press.
To maintain this continuity, three additional openings were created to introduce more natural light where needed and establish new connections with the rear garden. The intervention also restores and reinterprets the three existing bays of the building, bringing them back to full height and allowing for a reappropriation of the space.
