Located in the area where the city center meets an important active green area, the cultural center is designed as a building that blends an environmentally sensitive approach. The main goal of the project is to preserve the urban memory by preserving the existing tree texture and pedestrian axis, and to bring together everyone living in the city with cultural activities. In this context, the project aims to establish a strong relationship with both the physical environment and the social context. The form of the building is shaped in organic harmony with the existing green texture and presents a mass composition that integrates with its surroundings. The mass organization aims to experience the natural and built environment in a seamless unity.
The Cultural Center is equipped with four themed halls to host various events, a large and modern library, flexible and transformable exhibition spaces and versatile workshops. These spaces bring together users from different socio-cultural segments of the city, enabling the sharing of knowledge and art. The inner courtyard of the building is designed as a meeting point where natural light penetrates deep into space and encourages social interactions.
The form of the building is shaped with an understanding that respects and integrates with the existing green texture of the area. In this way, spaces intertwined with nature are created and environmental sensitivity is kept at the highest level. In addition, the pedestrian axis is preserved so that the daily walking routes of city dwellers are not interrupted. Thus, everyone passing through the space will inevitably be exposed to cultural activities and benefit from the cultural richness in the process. The maximum use of natural light in the interiors saves energy and improves the user experience. The overall aesthetics of the project creates a building that integrates with its surroundings. The cultural center will be an important cultural meeting point in the city with both its functionality and aesthetic value.
