One of the most important cultural heritage sites, Chora Museum, is located in Istanbul. Visitors of Chora, enter the inner garden from the north side of the building, meet the security, ticketing area, etc. in some unqualified spaces in the garden, and then, they enter the museum through the south garden without any orientation. In this way, guiding the visitors to the inner garden first and then to the museum from there was an important decision whose current potential was never evaluated.
This design aims to evaluate the potential of this decision and instead of just passing through the garden, it creates an opportunity for the visitors to pause, learn about the building, have a coffee, shop at the museum store, etc. The idea is to design a setup that will enable the visitors to be guided to the museum entrance with instinctive feelings and to leave them alone with the Chora Museum Building.
