La Borderie is the former property of Claude Masse geography of Louis XIV. Claude Masse’s home is behind the property of Mr. and Mrs. Bretonnier.
The purpose of this rehabilitation is to restore the old cellar into a living space and workshop.
Also, it is necessary to connect this part due to being rehabilitated to the part currently inhabited called ‘barn’.
The proposal, therefore, makes it possible to articulate the two constructions by a discreet building, not exceeding the existing walls, therefore not visible from the street.
The extension of the cellar allows the home to benefit from a large space in the garden and to create a patio between the constructions.
Finally, to solve the issue of differentiated levels between constructions (+50cm), the whole space will be emptied as well as the land in front of the cellar, allowing residents to enjoy maximum space on the ground floor.
