In an area where two-floor and suburban typology single-family homes predominate, in rectangular plots with 5 meters frontage and 20 meters depth, a forced transformation is taking place in multi-family buildings of small apartments.
In this context, the intervention exceptionally deals with a new floor in contemporary fashion as part of vertical life while the project maintains the single-family residential use.
The program is developed on three floors, connected via a linear staircase. The bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged on the first floor and on the second floor the day rooms (living room, dining room, and kitchen) are visually connected by a double-height with access to the roof which houses a small pool.
The curtain walls that close both façades, to the street and the interior patio, and the openness of the distribution, allow a natural spatiality and lighting that changes intensity throughout the day.
