The project is located in the heart of a heterogeneous suburban district and develops 24 new intermediate housing units with a totally bio-sourced environmental approach.
All the buildings consist of a wooden structure with cellulose wadding insulation. All these accommodations are located in the heart of a large, wooded park which collects all the infiltrating rainwater through skilfully designed valley gutters.
The shapes of the double-pitched roofs are inspired by the morphologies of the local architecture. In addition to this environmental attention, the project offers a real mix of programs, including a collective building with large bioclimatic open plan housing units.
Four individual houses are spread around the garden. One co-living with six social housing units reserved for single isolated mothers with children. As a co-living, a large, shared room on the ground floor allows these inhabitants to gather and their children to play together with secured access to the garden.
