The BAVVIC – Creative Building Blocks, is a product that embodies sustainable design and circular economy principles. These unique blocks are crafted from leftover materials from wooden window production, exemplifying a closed-loop economy.
BAVVIC is a multifunctional, sensory, and designer building block system designed to inspire creativity and foster learning through play. Combining solid wooden blocks with sensory silicone connectors, BAVVIC is a thoughtful collaboration between architects, parents, and child development experts. It proudly bears the hallmarks of a STEAM toy (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), using geometric shapes and abstract forms to encourage educational exploration. One of its goals is to reduce screen time by engaging children in hands-on, imaginative activities.
BAVVIC is designed for inclusivity, ensuring that people of all ages, genders, abilities, and additional needs (e.g., sensory disorders) can enjoy the creative process. The toy supports the development of a wide range of skills, including: Cognitive abilities, Motor skills, Spatial imagination, Problem-solving and decision-making, Creative thinking.
Prolonged play with BAVVIC also enhances focus, collaboration, and social relationship-building. It is a versatile tool for both children and adults, providing endless possibilities for creativity. The design was developed in collaboration with a child therapist to ensure its benefits align with developmental needs.
BAVVIC has received recognition and multiple awards in design and innovation competitions, solidifying its impact as a sustainable and educational toy.
