Located in the heart of the Aubrac plains, this exhibition pavilion is part of a natural and wild site. It establishes a dialogue between the gravity of a huge concrete roof placed delicately on three pre-existing rocks. A perforated black slab completely exogenous to the site then creates a landmark and delimits the space on the ground without ever touching it. The three granite rocks form the ideal tripod for the stability of the whole.
They represent the “already there”, le “déjà là”, the eternal force of nature and the history of a site rich in geology. The entire periphery is treated with fixed glazed frames which reinforce the idea of suspension and provide a first filter of reflection of the landscape.
Above, the 120cm thick slab filters the light without ever giving a glimpse of the sky and pushes the gaze towards the horizon and the plains of Aubrac.
