At the request of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, located in Paris, the architects have created a scenographic system to host the temporary and traveling exhibition “Aging well together”. Borrowing from the elderly the photographic frames that populate their shelves, and the need to purify their intervention for the benefit of the content, constitutes the initial impetus for the project.
The device, made of solid aluminum, consists of two semi-circular shelves 8.5 meters in diameter and 2.4 meters high. The precise arrangement of the museographic content, as well as its orientation, is made possible by the creation of slots distributed across all of the horizontal panels.
This simple assembly kit allows quick assembly of the installation and facilitates its transport. The result is a single-material, almost raw device, which exploits to its extreme limits the plastic and structural qualities of aluminum panels.
