Maciej Franta concluded his PhD studies at WAPK, Faculty of Architecture at the University of Knoxville in Tennessee. He has been running the Franta Group studio since 2010. Author of among others such projects as the adaptation of the tenement house for the Opera hotel in Tarnowskie Góry, the Oswaldów Park estate, the extension of the Municipal Hospital Complex in Chorzów, and kindergartens in Kraków and Sułkowice.  Winner of national and international competitions, including: the Education and Sports Center in Mysiadło, a kindergarten in Sułkowice, a forest arboretum building in Syców, a housing complex in Zabrze. Winner of the award in the competition was Małopolskie Voivodeship Award Stanisław Witkiewicz 2018. Frantagroup was founded in 2010 by Maciej Franta. It designs architecture and urban planning of housing estates, public utility buildings, and service-commercial buildings. Their projects have been awarded many times in competitions in Poland and around the world.
