There, he studied under the influential Chinese architect Wang Shu, winner of the 2012 Pritzker Prize, who had a lasting impact on his architectural outlook. His graduation thesis on reclaimed structural timber, developed with the Compagnons du Devoir, was published in Architecture & Economie (Eyrolles, author: Grégoire Bignier). He spent seven years at the international firm ArtBuild, where he led award-winning and nationally recognized projects, including the Agora building for the School of Veterinary Medicine in Alfort. He later structured and led AB.Lab, the firm’s R&D laboratory, for over three years. There, he explored the links between architecture and the living world by developing built projects, product innovations and conceptual paradigms. In 2025, he co-founded Guidoux Zhang with Hanmo Zhang, whom he had met during his studies. The agency supported the International Wood Construction Forum at the Grand Palais and is committed to ambitious, sustainable and forward-thinking design. Through a cross-disciplinary, holistic approach, Guidoux Zhang aspires to achieve total architecture.
