Foteini Kallikouni is a Greek architect and designer. She studied Architecture at the University of Patras in Greece. She has collaborated with architectural offices in Athens and Messinia and has received distinctions in international architectural competitions.In 2020, she was finalist for the “Young Talent Architecture Award 2020” issued by Mies Van der Rohe Foundation for her design thesis “Riverside Archipelago”. She has participated at the exhibition of the Greek Pavilion of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition Venice Biennale 2020/2021 as part of the Urban Design Project “The Dormant Axis: Revival of Thessaloniki’s Aristotle Street”.She is the recipient of the “Best Project Award” and “Peers Award” for Best Project issued by the Greek Architecture Awards 2022 for the design of a summer retreat inside the ruins of an old stone house. Her research interests lie in the areas of contemporary urbanism, landscape, and ecology whereas her design work focuses mainly on socio-cultural issues.
