Florian Hartmann - Switzerland


Florian a Swiss architect, established OLBH in 2020 as a Zurich-based studio for architecture, urban strategies, and design.His professional career includes positions at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, teaching at FHNW Basel, as well as a wide range of experiences in both national and international architectural practices.He studied at FHNW in Basel and at the Berlin University of the Arts (Master’s studies), before completing his Master of Science in Architecture at ETH Zurich in 2012.Since 2023, he is president of the Zurich chapter of the SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects) and managing director of OLBH with a strong focus on interdisciplinary, networked and methodical collaboration.OLBH plans and implements public and private projects of various scales and sees itself as an open laboratory. OLBH responds to the growing complexity of contemporary life with clear, resilient and uncompromising architectural solutions. Each design emerges from a specific, undogmatic conceptual approach that goes beyond merely fulfilling functional requirements to create real added value. OLBH views architecture as a serious and personal responsibility, aiming to generate both joy and quality through distinctive ideas and tailored solutions.
