Ece is a Turkish architect born in 1995 in İzmir. She received her bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul,Technical University, where she developed a strong interest in sustainability within architecture. During her academic years, she was awarded first prize in Rönesans Holding’s Design a Sustainable Future competition, and received second prize in a competition organized by Stoneline, a natural stone company.Since 2019, Ece has been pursuing her architectural practice through Kantarcı Avcı Architecture (KAA), which she co-founded with Bahadır Kantarcı. Alongside her team, she has been recognized with numerous awards for projects at various scales, spanning a wide range of typologies including cultural centers, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, university campuses, sustainability centers, and historic urban renewal projects.At KAA, each design, regardless of scale or program, is rooted in a deep connection with place, material, and culture. The firm's sensitivity to locality and the use of natural materials is consistently shaped by sustainable design principles, with a vision to contribute to a more livable and resilient future.
