Diogo Brito (Porto, 1983) received his Master in Architecture from the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade Lusíada, Porto, in 2006.Before founding OODA, Diogo worked as an architect with Zaha Hadid Architects in London and previously with Promontorio Architects in Lisbon. Frequently invited to lecture in Portugal and abroad, Diogo was also invited to be guest critic at the Final Reviews of Harvard University´s Graduate School of Design Architecture’s Final Reviews in 2022 and jury member in different international design competitions.OODA was founded in 2010 in Porto on the initiative of Diogo Brito and Rodrigo Vilas-Boas (who worked with Rem Koolhas/OMA in Rotterdam). From their international experiences in various cultural and environmental contexts, respectively in London and Rotterdam, the collective was born. Francisco Lencastre joins in 2011, and in 2018 João Jesus and Julião Pinto Leite expand the company structure to five partners. Both local and global, OODA is working on many prominent cultural, residential, hospitality and mixed-use projects in an office currently with more than 60 architects and an operation stretched with more than 45 projects ongoing, in different phases, 15 of those under construction (500.000sqm total on site).Diogo’s most recently unveiled projects are the Matadouro Renovation & Expansion, a new social infrastructure and cultural development in Porto (together with Kengo Kuma and Associates), the Miramar Tower residential project on the seafront of Porto, a nature driven Hotel in the Douro Valley and the winning design to develop the new headquarters of the iconic Klan TV and a new residential iconic tower in Albania.
