Ane is a Spanish architect and co-founder of BEAR, a Bilbao-based architecture studio that explores the possibilities of architecture as a discursive practice. She graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra in 2014. In 2018, together with Iñigo Berasategui, she co-founded the studio AZAB, which evolved into BEAR in 2021.Her work has received several major recognitions, including the Peña Ganchegui Prize in 2019 for the best young Basque architects, and the Egurtek Award in 2020. BEAR’s projects have also been acknowledged in Arquia Próxima and the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU).Among her most notable projects are Herriko Plaza in Mallabia (2019), Nahinuena House, selected for the Internalities proposal for the Spanish Pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, and the Basque Folk Music Museum in Artea (2024). In addition to her practice, she teaches and frequently lectures at universities, institutions, and conferences, contributing to contemporary architectural discourse.
