Alice is a French architect and co-founder of the AJAP14 collective. Alice and Guillaume Relier belong to the “Nouvelles Richesses” generation and were the recipients of the 2014 Young Architects and Landscapers Awards (Albums des jeunes architectes et des paysagistes). They are co-founders of the AJAP14 collective, that curated the French Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale, as well as the R Architecture studio, that was behind some urban development initiatives like the emblematic rue Netter project in Paris implemented for RATP Habitat.Since its establishment in 2010, R Architecture has supported the renovation of key sites such as the Château de Crèvecœur in Normandy or the Flaine ski resort in the French Alps. It focuses not only on housing, public facilities and complex renovations but also on interior and scenography for demanding clients that include the French Ministry of Culture, the Radio France Headquarter (Maison de la Radio) and the École Polytechnique.R Architecture approaches architecture as a natural science by looking at its meticulous precision, finite natural resources, and infinite imagination. Guillaume Relier and Alice Wijnen apply this mantra to the territory, whether ordinary or prestigious, metropolitan or mountainous, rural or suburban, in working on both ancient, haussmannien and modernist spaces through transformations, reinventions and post-carbon territories.
